FOUNDATION HISTORY

 

Artistic Director, Doris Massey Works, founded The Capital City Performing Arts Foundation in 2001. This organization was formed in order to link the community to the nearly extinct cultural art form of African-American Spiritual music as well as traditional Gospel Music. The Capital City Performing Arts Foundation has become a catalyst for varied musical programs that inspire and motivate the community to celebrate the diverse music cultures among us.
